The weekend of September 29 - October 1, 2017 is the Neptune Festival Art & Craft Show  in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Spanning from Booth 2619 - Booth 3033 will be the juried section, the section of artists who are eligible for awards.

My booth is Booth # 2621 and I will look forward to seeing you!!  Come by to see the newest creations I will have with me!

Show Update!! Upcoming Show Schedule!

Well, it has been a long time since I wrote on this blog. Things have been crazy busy with creating, painting, going to shows, following up on everything!!!

So, I hope to be better at keeping up my blog posts in the future.

I have been asked where I am showing next so here goes!

Next show will be at the Three Rivers Art Festival in Pittsburgh, PA. I will be there from June 7-June11 in Booth E-37.  My booth is right in front of the Wyndam Plaza Hotel!

First Sunday on West Street

Silk Creations by Janey was due to be in the First Sunday on West Street show today. Due to an unexpected medical emergency, I will not be able to be there. I am very sorry for the short notice. 

Silk Creations by Janey loves the special stories that happen at the shows!!

Silk Creations by Janey was an artist at the Sugarloaf Craft Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD this past weekend.

The shows bring together so many people. There is an enjoyment in meeting new customers, artists, craftsmen and others during the show days. These events are a time when Silk Creations by Janey can share the stories and inspirations of the incredible people who inspire Janey every day when she paints.  Sometimes during the shows, an new story will occur.  This happened this past weekend.....

 Saturday morning a woman walked into the Silk Creations by Janey booth and began looking for a special scarf for herself.  She looked at several pieces and settled on a dragonfly scarf.  I told her the inspiration for my dragonfly collection was my friend, Beth.  I told the customer about Beth and the story behind my choice to have Beth represent the dragonfly collection. 

I also told her recently when Beth was in the temple in Peru, a dragonfly flew up to her and she immediately thought about me.  At that moment, Beth sent me a message saying she felt my spirit in the moment. Amazingly, when the message arrived on my phone in my studio, I had just begun painting several new pieces in the Beth Dragonfly Collection!

The customer looked at me with a little surprise in her eyes and I asked what she was thinking....with a smile, she said "My name is Beth!" The connection is so magically special!

Silk Creations by Janey had a great weekend at the Oaks (Philadelphia), PA Sugarloaf Festival this past weekend!!!

This past weekend was an exciting and wonderful event created by Sugarloaf Festival at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA!! So many talented artists were involved and the extraordinary effort by the Sugarloaf team made this a great event!!  The customers saw new and exciting work and the energy was incredible!!! The next event for the Sugarloaf Festival schedule is in Gaithersburg, MD starting on April 15, 2016!  Looking forward to the event!!!

Silk Creations by Janey is in Space #607 at the Sugarloaf Festival in Somerset, NJ!!!!

Silk Creations by Janey is preparing for the Spring Show Season by participating in the 23rd Annual Spring Somerset, NJ Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ!

Janey and her works of art will be in Space #607 on March 11, 12 and 13.  She has been working tirelessly on new works, every one is unique and one of a kind.  PLUS, she will be introducing a new line of products!!!!

Silk Creations by Janey is so excited to be back in the studio full time for a while!!

In preparation for the upcoming Spring, 2016 shows, Silk Creations by Janey is back in the studio full time!  I am very excited to be painting new and different pieces.  Several new designs have been created and my time with the incredible women and friends who inspire me have given me new ideas and inspirations!  I am looking forward to introducing several new ideas and will be making the announcement within the week!!!
